Club History Timeline

The Braybrook Sporting Club is an iconic Australian football club that was founded in 1874.

Braybrook is a foundation member of the WRFL and is the league's most successful club having won the most senior premierships in the competition.

Braybrook is perhaps best known for being the launching pad for the careers of such luminaries as Brian Wilson, Doug Hawkins, George Bisset and the immortal Ted Whitten. It should not therefore come as a surprise to learn that the club has enjoyed more senior grade premiership success (eighteen flags and counting) than any of its Western Region Football League rivals.

The club's most recent senior premiership was won in 2022 in Division 3. Other recent premierships include 1990, 1993, 1997, 1999 & 2014.

The club most recently participated in Division 1 finals in 2002, when the club finished third after a narrow loss to the eventual premiers - Hoppers Crossing - in the Preliminary Final.

The club's current senior coaches are Anthony Brizzi assisting Senior coach Geoff Madden.

Braybrook Sporting Club colours are red and black (the home Guernsey if predominantly black with a red sash) and the club is known as the Brookers.

Our club holds strong values, including being an inclusive club that welcomes all cultures, backgrounds and orientations.

You can find the Braybrook ground at Pennell Reserve, Corner of Cranwell and Burke Streets Braybrook. Melways:  Ref (27 B10).
